Isaiah 1:8 – And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
Success, in plain terms, can be defined as your ability to cope with an unusual situation and make the most of it. In life, situations which face everyone are not too extraordinary. There is nothing new under the sun; problems and challenges are no exception. The differences in the responses to these circumstances is the distinguishing factor and point of separation between those who make it in life and those who don’t. Some believe greatness is thrust upon them, so they cannot be bothered to employ the necessary attitudes it takes to make it to the top. In John 9:4, Jesus speaks about working. “I must work the works of Him who sent me while it is day”. At all cost, while it is possible, we must be working or engaged in a fruitful venture. This doesn’t mean one has to be ‘busy’. Focused productive endeavours are totally different from simply being engaged or as we know, being ‘busy for nothing’.
In order to cope with an unusual, situation one needs to have extra stamina. Stamina of the mind and body are essential ingredients needed to triumph. Success is never a figment of one’s imagination, it is a product of consistent determination, focused and directed effort originating from a well-thought out plan, buttressed with a positive outlook of life. All this leads to living a fulfilled life and walking in your God-given destiny.
PRAYER POINT: Father in the name of Jesus I receive the grace, strength, and stamina to run the race of this life. I run my race with endurance, looking up to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of my faith.
